Answers to the most common questions about booking and travelling in the Maldives.

How do I book an experience?

Browse our experiences page, choose a date and number of guests, then proceed to checkout. You will receive an email confirmation with your booking details and a voucher to present to your supplier on the day of the experience.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. Most experiences offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time. Cancellations made 12–24 hours in advance may receive a partial refund, and cancellations within 12 hours are generally non-refundable. Check the cancellation policy displayed on each experience page for exact terms.

How do transfers work in the Maldives?

The Maldives is made up of 1,192 islands, so getting between them requires a transfer — typically by speedboat, domestic flight, or seaplane. When you book an experience on a different island, transfer options and costs are shown during checkout. Many resort experiences include transfers in the price.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Bank of Maldives (BML) cards, Visa, Mastercard, Alipay+, and international cards via Stripe. All payments are processed securely and prices can be displayed in USD, MVR, or other supported currencies.

Is travel insurance required?

While not mandatory, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and water sports activities. Medical facilities in the Maldives are limited outside Malé, and evacuation to the capital or abroad can be costly.

How do I contact my experience supplier?

After booking, your confirmation email includes direct contact details for the supplier. You can also view supplier information in your booking dashboard. For any issues, our support team at hello@atollislands.com is available Sunday to Thursday, 9 AM – 5 PM MVT.
